As Valentine’s Day is upcoming next month I’ve decided to show you a couple of ideas for easy handmade Valentine’s Cards.
The first one is a little shaker card in red hues.
I simply love the combination of reds and pinks, glitter and hearts.
Materials I’ve used:
I’ve used patterned paper from the XOXO collection by Dovecraft/Trimcraft, as well as the matching “be mine” die (comes in a set with sentiments and hearts) and the heart embellishments.
For the shaker element I used:
-Circle dies in two sizes
-Sequins in red, transparent and gold
-Red glitter paper
-White card as base
How to assemble:
Use the bigger circle die to cut out a white card base and the acetate. Stack a smaller circle die in the other one, use some washi to hold it in place. Then cut out a ring out of the glitter paper and fun foam.
Use liquid glue to stick acetate on the back of the glitter paper, then adhere the tape ring to it.
Put some sequins in the middle of the white circle, and glue the glitter-acetate-foam-piece onto.
Decorate with embellishments or die cut pieces.
Furthermore I used a kraft card base, matching scraps for the banner and of course double sided tape, glue, my paper trimmer and my sizzix big shot.
You can even decorate the inside matching your card front, just use scraps and leftovers from the project.
Shaker cards are such a fun way to create interactive cards. Maybe you’ll give it a try yourself.
